The Special Needs Co-ordinator advises and monitors the appropriateness of the IEP’s (Individual Education Plan) to meet the individual needs of all children. Occasionally some children may need the help of outside support agencies.
We are committed to ensuring all children have curriculum access and entitlement to reach their potential including children who are recognised as gifted and talented.
Pupils with Disabilities
We strive where possible, to admit children with various degrees of disabilities. In recent years a disabled toilet has been built and ramps, providing access to school. A disability plan is available which shows our future commitment and expenditure. Parents/carers can be assured that any disabled child attending St. Marie’s would receive the utmost care and attention appropriate to their needs and we ensure that no child is disadvantaged in anyway.
