Medication and Emergencies
Medication will only be administered when accompanied with a signed letter or a form signed from the school office. Children with asthma may bring inhalers into school. However, it is expected that children will be able to self-administer such medication. In the event of an emergency a contact address will be essential.
It is most important that, in case of sudden illness or an accident, which may need hospital attention, that we know where we can contact you, or a friend/relative at all times. We must have at least one named emergency contact person, as well as yourself, preferably with a telephone number.
If your address, telephone number or the contact person's change, please remember to let us know immediately. Please, also, always let us know if your child is unable to attend school owing to illness (preferably by telephone on the first day of illness, before 10.00am).
We try very hard to ensure that our school is a safe place and that accidents do not happen. They sometimes do happen, however, and some of our staff have First Aid training to enable us to deal immediately with minor accidents.
